An anonymized email hash may be sent to Gravatar to display your profile picture if you use the service. Gravatar’s privacy policy: automattic.com/privacy. Approved comments make your profile picture publicly visible.

Media

Images uploaded to our site should not include EXIF GPS data, as visitors can extract location data from images.

Cookies

Commenting may save your name, email, and website in cookies for convenience, lasting one year. Logging in sets a temporary cookie to check browser compatibility, discarded when you close your browser. Login cookies last two days, and screen option cookies last one year. Selecting "Remember Me" extends login cookies to two weeks. Editing or publishing articles saves a cookie with the post ID, expiring in one day.

Embedded Content

Smush Plugin

Smush does not interact with end users. Site admins may opt into a newsletter. Smush sends images to WPMU DEV servers for optimization, including EXIF data, which is either stripped or returned, not stored.
